Question by Edgar: What's the difference between political events and diplomatic events?

I have to classify a bunch of American history events for a timeline but I'm not sure if some events belong in a political or diplomatic category.what's the difference between the two?

Answer by Ali
Political events would be events that had to do with America's own government or public affairs, e.g. an event that had to do with the President, Congress, etc. Diplomatic events would be events that involved America's relations with another country, e.g. the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, etc.

Political-(adj.) of or relating to the government or public affairs of a country
Diplomatic-(adj.) of or concerning the profession, activity, or skill of managing international relations

Hope this helps!
