Like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, this Navajo Guide Leads a group of tourists through a slot canyon in Page, AZ. I used my own technique to capture moving objects in HDR images.

Day 57 of 365 (Year Three)
There was a book fair and art show at Savanah's school this evening. Savanah begged and begged to go. I wanted to go to Karate, but they were at the same time so we couldn't do both. Savanah's pleas eventually won out and we ended up at the Book Fair.
We bumped into her friend Rebecca and her mother so we walked around with them looking at all the art and looking for our kids' work on the walls. We found Rebecca's pretty quickly, but it took a bit to find Savanah's. For some reason they had some of the second grader's work mixed in with some of the higher grades. I really don't know why. Savanah and Rebecca were both very proud of themselves after seeing their work on the walls of the school.
After seeing all the art we headed into the library to look at the selection of books. If Savanah had her way we would have needed a hand cart to carry out all the books she wanted. She knew, however, going in that we weren't there to buy any books. I too was under the same restrictions. It wouldn't be fair for me to get a book and not allow her at least one. As we were perusing the books Savanah kept going back to one particular book and I came across The Ugly Guide #1. I was rather surprised to find it at an elementary school book fair. As tempted as I was, I put it back and made Savanah do the same with hers. I was then rather shocked when Rebecca's mom came back to us and handed each of us the book we had wanted. How nice is that?
When I got home I showed Cinko, Babo and Poe the book that I got and boy were they excited. They didn't stop bugging me until I read it to them. Once I was done reading it to them they allowed me to go fix dinner and the three of them have been sitting around the book flipping back and forth and "ooooing" and "ahhhhhing." It was cute for the first hour, but I'm now contemplating hiding the book from them. I'm just worried that I won't get any sleep with them banging around the house trying to find it, which I know they will. I'm hoping they will get tired of it soon.
