Games, Audible, Like, should, madden, Anything, route


Question by Zack:

When should you audible and hot route or anything like that in Madden NFL games?

I have been playing Madden NFL for a long time but I have never called an audible and I have called a hot route once or twice. When is the best time to change the play before you hike it? I never know when to do it. I'm thinking about getting Madden 11 and playing online so I'm going to need to be better to beat some of these good players.

It totally depends on your opponent man!

What I like to do is use GameFlow and just play the game normally. After the first quarter or so, I should have a good feel of how my opponent likes to play Defense. Which player he usually controls, etc.

If a CB drops back too early because he doesnt want to get beat with the long bomb every play, then you can hot route your WR to either a Curl or Drag route. And vice versa. If the CB gets too close, just hot route a Streak and score a TD.

There's never really the best time to change the play. Just audible whenever you feel like it. For example, if it's 2nd and 10, and coach wants you to run and you know the LBs are blitzing because they start to creep up, then audible to a quick pass and at least gain positive yards.
